By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. For the data collection policies of specific plugins in use on our website, please read further below.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on this website we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from (publicly accessible) images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. Link to their own privacy policies if possible.-->

As mentioned above, this website makes use of the Worpress platform. By default, Worpress does not share any personal data with anyone.
You can check WordPress’ privacy policy here and here.
If you do request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

For our event registration services we use the Event Espresso plugin for WordPress.
Event Espresso facilitates GDPR compliance:

Export of Personal Data: Since version 4.9.6, WordPress allows admins to generate a report of an individual’s personal information and send it to them. Event Espresso adds the individual’s registration details to the report automatically when it’s being created.

Erasure of Personal Data: Along with the ability to export data, WordPress 4.9.6 adds a tool that allows site admins to erase personal data stored in their WordPress site. When an admin erases an individual’s personal data, Event Espresso makes sure their registration data is also erased.

Furthermore, Event Espresso does not have access to any registration data or records stored on our website, and it does not – by default – share registration information with any third-party services, with the exception of the payment gateways used to process payments. Please read below for details.
You can check Event Espresso’s privacy policy here.

For our registration services, in the specific context of payment processing, we use the Stripe Payment Gateway add-on for Event Espresso.
Stripe processes credit card payments according to the strictest security standards.
You can check Stripe’s privacy policy here.
Intellegibilis, Lda does neither store nor have access to any credit card information.

This site utilizes caching – by LiteSpeed Cache plugin – in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. We may use QUIC.cloud services to process & cache your data temporarily. Please see here for more details.

How long we retain your data

In the context of our event registration services, we keep customer purchase records for 10 years, for the purpose of eventual auditing by tax authorities.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have used our event services, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Please see the above section, “Who we share your data with”. Additionally:

This website and all its data are hosted by Namecheap in UK-based servers. Namecheap employs industry-standard data security policies, including appropriate data backup and anti-breach measures.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Contact information – Privacy-specific concerns

    E-mail us at: intellegibilis@intellegibilis.com

<!--
4.
